International Emmys Awards 2025; Full Winners List Out, Diljit Dosanjh Misses Best Actor Award

The International Emmys Awards 2025 turned into a sparkling global party, and India surely had its moment of shine. Diljit Dosanjh walked in with swag, humility, and that warm smile he carries everywhere. Even though he didn’t win the Best Actor award, he made India proud with his nomination and super confident presence. Let’s discuss what went down during this enchanting starry night.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Big Moment: Style, Smile, and Full On Punjabi Energy

Diljit received a nomination for the Best Actor for his portrayal in Imtiaz Ali’s Netflix biopic Amar Singh Chamkila. The movie beautifully captured the rise and tragic end of the legendary singer through the bold lyrics of his songs.

Diljit’s acting was so real and powerful that this nomination was totally justified. But the award went to Spain’s Oriol Pla for Yo, Adicto (I, Addict). It was a tight race with strong names like David Mitchell for Ludwig and Diego Vasquez for One Hundred Years of Solitude. So yeah, super tough competitors.

Still, Diljit’s red-carpet appearance was a whole moment. He wore a glittery jacket, a white shirt, and his classic black turban, simple yet stunning. He greeted everyone with his sweet namaste, and honestly, he lit up the entire vibe there. Imtiaz Ali and Netflix India’s Monika Shergill and Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh were there too, cheering for the big night.

In the Best TV Movie/Mini-Series category, Chamkila lost to the UK’s Lost Boys & Fairies. But the global recognition the film received was loud and clear.
